Frank Minaya Invited to Join as Board Member and Treasurer of
The Bahamas Education Culture and Science Foundation, Inc. (BECS)

Mr. Franklyn Wilson, Chairman of The College of The Bahamas (COB), Dr. Leon Higgs, COB President, and Dr. Donald T. Gerace, President of The Bahamas Education Culture and Science Foundation, Inc. (BECS), have formally requested that Frank Minaya y Willmore, President and CEO of Inmobiliaria Minaya y Willmore, S.A., join BECS as Board Member and Treasurer. One of the primary thrusts of this board is to facilitate the internationalization of COB's curriculum and expedite the procurement of 'University' status.

Upon his acceptance of this impressive invitation, Mr. Minaya, representing both the United States and Samaná College in the Dominican Republic, has initiated several efforts which have resulted in numerous U.S., Dominican and European universities joining an international study abroad consortium along with COB and BECS. PBS to Produce Documentary on Willmore Family

PBS has received funding to produce a full-length documentary film on the island of Hispaniola, which will include the history of the Willmore family. Frank Minaya y Willmore and several family members in New York and the Dominican Republic have been interviewed at length by filmmaker Ms. Zeinabu Davis representing award-winning filmmaker, Mr. Louis Massiah. As part of the ongoing research for this film, Mr. Minaya coordinated a meeting between Ms. Davis and Harry J. Fouché, Consul General de La Republique d' Haiti (NY) and noted Haitian historian.
