HBCU Central

HBCU Central provides links between all Historically Black Colleges and Universities worldwide, providing free information and services for the HBCU community; including both currently enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty and alumni.

Their mission is to provide HBCU awareness, large scale HBCU enrollment, constant alumni communication, community leadership development and more efficient networking. Important on-line resource for HBCU news, information, announcements, happenings and internship opportunities.

The Early College High School Initiative

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Ford Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, has provided funding to establish 70 Early College High Schools over the next five years. Drawing on lessons learned from the experiences of dual-enrollment programs and small schools, studies of time wasted in the senior year, and existing examples of institutions combining high school and college, the Early College High School Initiative has established its own distinctive vision and goals to suit the students it is designed to serve.
