||
|
||
Dr. Dana F. Minaya worked for over 35 years as a teacher in the New York City school system. For over 25 years, she has performed in-depth research on the original freed North American slaves brought to the Dominican Republic in 1824 by Sir Richard Allen of the AME Church. Approximately 200 of these original settlers migrated to the North-Eastern peninsula of Samana, where their descendents remain to this day.
